Will Video Marketing Help My Business?

Malakai I • Jun 21, 2019

Is this the latter-day question on your mind?

Or is it something you have previously thought about, yet still undecided? Well...I'm going to help guide you in the right direction.
But first, do you mind if I ask you this question?

How many products or services have you considered investing in, or treating yourself or someone else to because of an interesting video you saw?

Riiiight!

Let's rewind...

Back in the days when there was no internet, everyone, from someone's mom, dad, grandad, nan, heck even their uncle watched tv; to be entertained, to find out new trends, what to eat, what to drink, what to wear, heck... even what to think.

(Now, we're talking about the early 80's era, older folk will relate) Yes there were billboards and radio, but nothing could compare to the power of video even then...

Companies acknowledged the power of video and continued to use it as a marketing medium to get their message out to a broader audience via TV networks, DVD and Cinema.

With the rise of laptops, tablets and mobile phones around the 2000's, more people began to engage in watching entertaining and informative videos.

Fast forward to today, 2019, we have seen MASSIVE growth in video engagement via the internet. Such as:

• YouTube becoming a phenomenon
• Youtubers receiving millions of views and becoming influencers
• An increase in videos watched per day, for longer periods of time
• YouTube & Facebook video ads bringing lots of traffic to landing pages.

This has persuaded smart business owners to consider and see the benefits of online video marketing.

Here are some statistics from 2018:

Facebook's user count has grown to a staggering 2 Billion, with youtube in second place at 1.5 Billion monthly users.

65% of viewers watch more than 3/4 of a video.

As you can see, video is the best medium to utilise, sitting comfortably right next to word of mouth.
So If you are looking to grow your brand and achieve more sales, do the sensible thing and try video marketing!

As you know, at MBI, we like nothing more than working with like-minded, forward thinking businesses like TMMP Awards and RPM - Regional Property Meet. We’re extremely pleased and excited to be one of the Media Partners working with a great legend of Black History Month, Tony Tokunbo Eteka Fernandez. Tony is an Award winner, Author, Online broadcaster, MC, Motivational Speaker, Events Consultant & Ambassador for peace. We met Tony at the TMMP Awards this year and kept in contact ever since. Tony approached us to film for his event and we gladly accepted. We agreed to work with Tony as we share the same life values, working together to achieve a positive outcome. On the 28th October, we will be capturing video footage , filming testimonials and taking photographs at the event, to highlight all the best parts of the day, there will also be guest speakers and a live music performance. What’s next for MBI Visuals? We will be sponsoring the next RPM - Regional Property Meet next month, we also plan to be working on more school projects. It’s been an even busier than usual time for MBI as we continue to set and achieve more and more impactful goals for our business. But we thought we’d stop by with the latest on what we’ve been up to. Like you, we absolutely love and find great reward in what we do, but it’s always nice to have our efforts more formally recognised. So we were pretty chuffed to see our hard work earn us a place as finalists in the Business of the Year category of the BSR Awards as well as winners of Best In Video Marketing Services , at the 2021 Innovation and Excellence Awards , and Marketing Agency of the Year , at the 2021-22 Corporate Livewire Global Awards . We’ve been incredibly grateful for the new business opportunities that have resulted from successfully and consistently increasing our brand visibility, through a consumer-centric approach and strategic collaboration. At MBI Visuals, we believe that networking and connecting with like-minded individuals and organisations are the lifeblood of any successful business. So we’re delighted to be the official sponsors of the Regional Property Meet, which provides an invaluable service with its monthly networking event for professionals and tradesmen working in the property industry. We’re also extremely honoured to be the official sponsors of The Music and Media Platform Awards, which are taking place on the 12th-13th of August. When we were first connected with the founders of the TMMP awards, we were excited to discover that we shared similar faith-based values, a serious passion for music, and a desire to see new and existing talent given the opportunity to reach a wider public audience. We were entrusted with the job of handling the video marketing for the event. The TMMP team came to us with a key aim of capturing the same elements used in their current marketing campaign to produce a professional promo video that would create a wider awareness of the event, and maximise ticket sales. We promptly put on our Listening Ears and zoned in to fully understand their needs, and get a more detailed idea of their vision. Ultimately, we were able to deliver a quality, tailored end result that they were exceptionally pleased with. We’re currently looking forward to getting spruced up for the long-anticipated celebration, which will be held at the Life Centre, in Bradford. Alongside the TMMP workshops, which kick things off on the 12th of August, we’ll be running a stall at the event. The awards ceremony will follow on the 13th of August. If this sounds like a bit of you, come and join us for a memorable event that’ll showcase performances from a host of Christian music stars, including Lurine Cato MBE, Reblah, Limoblaze, and Philippa Hanna.
